Key to this residential West London project was the incorporation of Middle Eastern influences in a nod to the owners’ heritage.
These were embraced via a lively play on contrast and balance, where colourful bespoke furniture and Islamic art are lightly juxtaposed with a neutral, tonal palette, and the infusion of traditional elements into a newly built space. Custom boiserie, crafted in Italy, was placed throughout to soften the modernity of the home’s new-build architecture, and is complemented by layers of texture for a warm, cosy ambiance. Further contrast is found in the red and gold accents shot through various rooms, mirroring the tones found in multiple pieces of artwork displayed across the residence, including a specially commissioned bronze sculpture by Rory Menage. The uniting thread throughout the property is the broad infusion of both natural and artificial lighting, imparting this ground and lower ground property with a bright, spacious and airy atmosphere.
